Project
Students were asked to create three flavors for a beverage. I chose to create a to-go milk tea brand that uses a mixture of modern and classic styles to appeal to students and young professionals. Using clean lines, contemporary fonts, and a simple color palette, I created a brand that fits current market and design trends while feeling fresh and timeless.
Research
Because milk tea and boba tea are consumed largely by younger people, I wanted to use modern and popular design styles. Additionally, while every culture has variations of tea based drinks, I wanted to take a more universal approach rather than basing the design off of one culture. By referencing celestial imagery, mythology, and classic art, I communicate a sense of quality and timelessness, while also appealing to a younger, social-media savvy demographic.
